The Extra One

XO Stirfry



  • Sesame oil

  • Tofu (silken or firm depending on your preference)

  • 1/2 jar XO Sauce

  • 2 handfuls of vegetables eg. Onion, carrot, broccoli, green beans, kale, radish

  • Spring onions and sesame seeds

  • Rice to serve


  1. Cook rice according to packet instructions.

  2. Heat some sesame oil in a fry pan or wok if you have one.

  3. Stirfry the vegetables (add the harder ones like carrots first as these require the longest time to cook, and add in things like green beans last).

  4. When your vegetables are almost cooked remove from the pan and set aside.

  5. In the saucepan add your XO sauce, and cubed tofu.

  6. Fry until sauce is bubbling and tofu is heated through.

  7. Add the vegetables back into the pan and toss everything to finish.

  8. Serve with rice, sprinkled with sesame seeds and fresh spring onions.
